It would be a dream come true for many Subaru Impreza fans to see a diesel engine inside the bonnet. Well, the dream has finally come true after a long, but fruitful wait. The new range of Subaru Impreza will have a powerful yet efficient diesel engine, something that most Subaru Impreza fans always desired. This is a part of Subaru’s move to use diesel engine across its entire range for better fuel economy. The same, trustworthy 2.0 litre boxer diesel engine would be used in all the Subaru Impreza models, design that is unique to Subaru.
Most of the Subaru Impreza cars registered in January and February were powered by diesel. The diesel option is cheaper to run that its petrol counterpart without any compromise on the performance.
All the usual Subaru Impreza features have been retained in the diesel versions. The all wheel drive system of the car ensures excellent road handling. The space is adequate with a good driving position.
There is adequate legroom at the rear. Those who do not carry a lot of stuff with them while travelling will find the boot space to be adequate. The diesel Subaru Impreza offers very good acceleration and a great drive.
For all these features, the Subaru Impreza diesel seems fairly priced and would be a very tough competition for rest of the cars in the category.
