Subaru Impreza Third In Pirelli International, Cardiff

David Higgins, from Manx, took third place in the British Rally Championship opening round in Carlisle – the Pirelli Championship. Higgins was driving a Subaru Impreza and finished just behind the defending Champions Guy Wilks and Phil Pugh and the debut Finnish duo, Juho Hanninen and Mikko Markkula, who produced a fine debut.

Higgins’ brother, Mark, also took part but unfortunately crashed out with engine problems in stage 10.

However, there was disappointment for David’s brother Mark who crashed out on stage 10 with engine problems.
