At the weekend, Jock Armstrong won the Galloway Hills Rally with a dominating victory over his nearest rivals. Jock who drives for Castle Douglas and Haugh of Urr co-driver Kirsty Riddick, won all five stages of the rally.
This was the second win for the pair in three years. After retiring early last year, only after a couple of stages, this years win was all the sweeter.
The Subaru Impreza, driven by Jock had a victory gap of more than 3 minutes over second placed Donnie McDonald and Neil Ewing. David Bogie of Dumfries, last years winner had to retire on Sunday, in the third stage following problems with his Mitsubishi Evo 9.
Craig McMiken and Christine Sanderson finished third followed by Richard Dickson of New Abbey and Sandy Dobie of Castle Douglas with a gap of 11 seconds.
