Recently, the Essex police team, more commonly known as the ‘interceptors’ have taken a high performance driving tuition from the specialists of motor sport.
A team of 21 members underwent a special training for a day at the performance centre. This was done so that the members get used to the Subaru Impreza GB270. This latest Subaru Impreza model of 270 bhp and a four wheel drive engine is capable of reaching 60 miles per hour in a time span of just five seconds. All of the members are professionally trained drivers but the unique handling of these cars required this special training.
It all started with a theory lesson in a classroom. John Gorton, the transport head of Essex Police said that it was very essential and important in training the officers so that they understand the capability of the Subaru Impreza GB270. The day revolved around understanding the mechanism of the new Subaru Impreza GB270.
The theory was then put into practise on the testing tracks. It was not all about speed but giving the drivers a boost of confidence and improving their skills with the Subaru Impreza GB270.
The officers then came up with a better understanding regarding the mechanism of the new Subaru Impreza and even the different techniques of driving this high performance vehicle.
